PAGODA TREE

I regret that modern technology can not bring you the wistful smell of this wonderful tree. It hangs in the air on an autumn morning and is as elusive as it is rich; gently boiling toffee, almost burning. And then it is gone. The nearer you get to the stunning red leaves with their yellow margins the less likely you are to catch it. If you are going to plant a tree this autumn, consider this one.
